Let us kick the new year off with this new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Metal Python High tops which will be available this month of January 2010. The Metal Python chucks still bears the usual sole of Chuck Taylor but it covered with a python skin which is actually a bit scary in my opinion. Snakes and pythons freaks me out(who doesn’t?) but with this design for Chuck Taylor sneakers? Well ain’t that cool!

I got a confession to make. I love everything about Chuck Taylor sneakers but I never wear one before. The reason are I am having doubts if I could still look good and will it blend with the clothes I wear. EXPO Nippon: All-Star Owari Shippo High Tops

This year, Japan released a new collection of Converse Chuck Taylors known as EXPO Nippon which first series was released last January. The collection intends to bring out the best heritages of the Japanese culture in arts and crafts.

The Owari-Shippo High Tops was included in the first series released. Its looks was drawn from the traditional Japanese porcelain, Owari-Shippo, which was crafted in Japan hundreds of years ago. The porcelain features a glassy finish in its surface and is now seen in the All-Star Owari-Shippo Hi shoes. Its patent leather upper divided into multiple different colors, colors that are found in the porcelain, makes it indeed another interesting work of art. Additional feature is the metallic gold and silver eyelets. The shoes comes in 2 sets of colors and is already available on some sneaker outlets in Japan.

We just finished the first season of the popular TV Series Heroes. The show was really good and we are trying to catch up until the current fourth season. One thing I’ve noticed was the badass villain Sylar played by Zachary Quinto. Sylar is scary but awesome.
